Christmas on Parade
The City of Compton hosted its 55th Annual Compton Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 9. The procession down Compton Boulevard was themed “Celebrating the Rebirth of Compton,” and R&B sensation Johnny Gill served as Grand Marshall. Besides various floats and equestrian units, hundreds of onlookers enjoyed performances by local school marching bands, drill teams, cheerleaders, California Cadet Corps, ballet folkloricos, dance squads, mariachi and tamborazo bands as they rang in the holiday season.
